I believe that anything over 5bb/100 hands is a good rate at any level. Also, making 7 cents over an hour isn't that bad. You probably only play 80ish hands an hour (rough estimate) so 7 cents is going to give you at least 4bb/100 hands. If you can make at least 7 cents an hour then you are playing decent poker. You may not be winning a lot, but at least you're still winning.
Firstly I want to clear one thing up, so there are no missunderstandings.
bb=big blind
BB=Big Bet= 2 big blinds
I belive that you should be able to make 10BB/100hands at the micro stake tables. I dont think anything below that can be considered good.
As you move up the stakes your avg might be lower, but 4bb/100hands, ie 2BB/100hands, is way to low at any level I think.
So basically you are saying that since a big blind at 1/2 is 2c x 2 for a BB=4c x10 = 40c an hour is a good win rate. Holy crap, no wonder why I do so bad at cash tables, I've been used to making about 50c to a buck for an hour and then get frustrated and end up losing patience and getting involved with the Jackass at the table (which in turn, turns me into Jackass #2) in which I start racing and end up losing w/ my all in AK to his 29o, then going busto and saying DAMN I SUCK. I really have to work on my patience. I guess thats why I do better at tourneys than cash, because I have some expectation on where I'm supposed to be. Thanks for the info.
WOW, i think i need to try out some odd stuff at 2NL, and some of it is working and it's not to fancy,, Though i find it odd i am winning the same amount of hands in UTG1 as on the button ?Over 22000 hands ive got a bb/100 of 44.51. Thats quite high but it shows how crushable 2nl really is. As long as you know what your doing and dont get to fancy or tilty you should be able to beat 2nl at atleast 10bb/100. According to my HEM this month 2nl has been providing me $3.86 per hour.
