What should I start out playing if I want to slowly build a bankroll?

I have yet to make my first deposit on BetOnUSA (still trying to figure out how rakeback works and how I can take advantage of it), but I was probably going to make an initial deposit of $40 or so, and I wanted some recommendations of games to play and advice for learning smart and disciplined bankroll management and how to build a small bankroll up over time.

I was thinking of doing a combination of 2/4NL cash games ($0.2/$0.04 blinds) and $0.60 9-man SnG's, preferably 3 or 4 at a time on a grid.

If I were you I would try playing low buy in multi table tournaments. I would not play 2 cent 4 cent until you have about 20 to 30 buy ins.

If you're referring to Betonline poker site. Be advised to stay away from that site!!!!!!
I will try to search the site here for some threads you might want to take a look at. In the meantime, try doing a search on 'google'. There's been ALOT of complaints from players on that site. Trust me!!! You don't want to play on there!

^ Listen to this man and do your research before depositing.

As far as how to start on a $40 roll -- I'd advise against 4nl cash tables until you have at least $100 or so unless you are experienced, confident in your game and already know what you are doing (and that even if you are a winning player is would be completely standard to hit a 5-6 buyin downswing which would then leave you buying in short on some tables if you are playing 4 tables at a time).

With $40, if you can find a site with 2nl cash tables and are adamant about playing cash then you can do it that way. Otherwise, the .60c sit-n-go's are probably easier to beat and are much more within proper bankroll limits as compared to playing 4nl cash ring in my opinion.

No, BetOnUSA, it's part of the Merge network, like Carbon and Black Chip.

Can you give me any advice for learning how to profitably multi-table 2 or 3 SnG's at a time? I eventually want to work my way up to 4. Also, are there any free HUD's I can download that track player stats like PFR, VPIP, AF, etc? Something like Tournament Indicator?

Don't listen to this rubbish, you can learn a lot playing microstakes cash games and MTTs.

I agree with mrmonkey, $40 is not enough to start playing 4nl, so stick to the micro MTTs or find a site with 2nl.

So if I wanted to strictly play $0.60 9-man turbo SnG's, would a $30 initial deposit suffice for a starting bankroll, about 50BI's? And if I were to be profitable at this level, I wouldn't move up to the $1.10 level until I had at least $55 or more?

You can start learning BRM by understanding that your roll is all the money you allocate for poker, not just the amount you deposit on a site. So for example, if I have $250 for poker, my roll is $250 no matter how much I deposit or how it's split up among sites, my e-wallet and my pocket.

It can also be more complicated. For instance, if I'm adding $10 per week, my roll will change accordingly in addition to how much I win or lose.

Yeah 50BIs should be fine for these games.
