I have weaknesses in my game i know about and I plan on starting to research them. But what I would like from the community is a listing of the various aspects of poker and their order of importance (maybe just give it an importance on a scale of 1-10) so I know what I should be focusing on first.

Now, I'm not asking for a list of videos, books, etc. Just a list of the various aspects of poker.

You answered your own question. First of all, focus on the study and correction of their gaming shortcomings.

I believe we should first learn about the positions on the table, reading range, bet size, the different ways to play according to the stage of the tournament and stack. It is worth trusting in our intuition.

it is also very important to know our opponents, to know what their knowledge and style of play, we can not try to make very advanced moves with beginners, and could not be predictable, it is worth to understand that the style of play tends to vary according to the variables of the game are changing, avoid coinflip situations, sometimes folding is much more important than giving the correct call.

I think you should start with what hands are good starting hands in poker, then the importance of position. Then learn more about pre-flop. Starting with these 3 things first could help you a lot even if you are weak on post flop, because learning those would make you easier to play postflops

Listen to me carefully. You can only learn from experience. Someone learns very quick and in a year they are pro poker player, someone need a little bit more time. You need to have discipline as one of most important aspects of the game. You also need to develope your brain, i know it seems crazy. For this game intelligence is pretty much very important, but the kind of intelligence you need for poker can be developed to some degree. When playing, you need to 110% focus on the table, you need to try to predict your opponent cards and their next move. Thats how you advance in poker.

As a fairly new player myself, I've asked this question quite a few times to different people. Most of what I've gathered from a combination of advice and reading strategy articles is this:

-- Position seems to be one of the most fundamental concepts in the game, regardless of who you ask. In each and every hand I think this is the first thing you should think about, before even considering what your hand is.

-- Starting hand strength relative to position is the next step, and a big part of this I've realized is understanding that there are a lot of deceptive hands that you might think are good, but should often fold. i.e. :as4: :10d4: in early position.

-- Bet sizing and playing around your stack size. I've noticed a lot of other beginners I play with at house games seem to just make random bets and don't pay attention to the size of the pot, or their own stack. Most people will insist that if you are below 20 BB you need to shove or fold.

-- Understanding the simple mathematical concepts. Initially I was reluctant to try to get into the math of poker because it seemed daunting, but things like counting outs and calculating rough pot odds are actually very easy once you learn to do them.

Hope this helps!

I have to agree, if you don´t have a pre-flop adjustment set, you'll lose or not win chips, even in the streets nearby.
I'm trying to keep a pattern now and trying to perfect myself more and more !!
