Patience is the most important quality to have. An ability to remain calm and to be a risk taker are also important.

Patience is maybe the most important quality a poker player must have. Maybe not the worst but definitely in my opinion something a player need to avoid is getting overconfidence. When I'm overconfident a tend to make bigger risks and play when my odds aren't with me. My best quality is in my opinion the ability to adjust your game to the opponents. My problem is the lack of patience when I'm running bad.

totally agree with anton patience is the key.i have found myself not playing good due to i dont have patience sometimes due to a hard day and believe me these are the days i i play the worst poker.overconfidence is a clue but the game often gives you a slap and fix it

Poker player first of all needs to keep a cool head,patience,perseverance.The necessary skills of the game ,it needs to constantly improve and to have a steady income,not to depend on the game,so the decision is not pressed, banroll.Also important developed intuition and logic.

u need a small dose of luck,but if u are regular and play planty hands u`l see that its a flip,sometimes u win,sometimes u loose...for example if u loose with A K in A Q u`l win 3 out of 4 hands...

Most importantly be patient and do not rush to make decisions. Do not play many hands, it leads to loss of bankroll. Soberly assess the situation.
