Hey guys, I got 4th in the cardschat freeroll on carbon poker and picked up a sweet $12. What is the best thing to do now? Double or nothing SNGs? Cash games? Wait for more money? I was going to deposit friday but now that I got cash, I don't know if I should yet, What now?

What format have you generally had better results in? Or, maybe just as importantly, what format do you enjoy the most? I feel this is important cuz' there's no use playing ring if you don't enjot it, for example.

If you are comfortable with the tourney format, I would suggest playing $1 or $2 SNG. DON's are ok as they are fairly low risk, but I feel they promote a very "safe and scared" type of play. Everyone is just folding, waiting for a monster and folding unless they hit the flop hard. (in my limited don experience). IMO, playing like this is generally not a good habit to get into.

Keep playing the FR's as well though. If you are making money in the super micro's and FR's and are happy with that, stick with that. No need to deposit yet. Unless, of course, you plan on putting in a shit ton of volume, then a deposit in order to unlock a first deposit bonus would be an option as well.

TheKAAHK, I'm a solid ring game player at 2NL at full tilt and average at 5nl. I am also a solid sit and go player at blt and daily dollar satellites. I've never played a real money mtt or a DON. Actually, this was my second overall freeroll there, the first I got donked out near bubble on saturday. I dl'ed it about a week ago so still new to the site but it looks good.

A couple of years back I built quite a bankroll playing the bounty SnG's then bounty MTT's. If I remember rightly the SnG started at $1. Just need to watch out for the donks who go all in every hand just because it's a bounty game.

I don't suggest you play the DoN games unless you have a good concept of how much they differ from a standard SnG.

You best bet is to take a shot at 2NL or wait till you have some more money (say $20) and play the $1 SnGs

Of course if you don't care about that BR so much you can also just take a shit at a game you wouldn't normally play. I lost all of my FR winnings at FTP playing Rush. In hindsight I should have just put it on PS but I really wanted to play Rush.

Well, if you feel you're solid @ 2NL then you should play at that. If you are not worried about losing a buy-in or two (ie: if you are willing to make a deposit down the line), then maybe give 5NL a shot and se where it takes you. You are playing with free money after all. GL in whatever you decide!

I think the DON's are good with the right strategy.
