Is there a formula of sorts I should be following to figure this out? Let's say I deposit 100$ online. What cash game level should I be playing so I can "grind" into profit?

What are good sng buy in for such a bankroll? I feel like my skill level is much better than the 1-3$ sng I have played on bovada. What are your thoughts?

If you haven't a lot of experience in cash I would advise you to play NL2 in no relation how much you deposited. When you make your $100 in NL2 - go to NL5 until $250 and so on.

In theory, you would have to play on limits where your bank is 100 entries, ie limits of 0.10 to 0.20. to care for and perhaps increase Bankr .. luck.

Tourneys are different than cash games, and it depends on the type (you can play more dbl/nothings with smaller bankroll since you should cash more often). With 100 bux id play up to $5 sngs, and maybe $1-$5 mtts. As far as cash goes stick to 10c - 20c with that roll. PLO you need a lot more money to play same stakes in cash btw.

With $100 I would stick to 2nl cash games until you are averaging a decent profit (at least 6bb/100 hands). For Sngs, up to $5 with that bankroll should be decent. Figure out your strengths and weaknesses. Most players are better at sngs or cash, not both. Then play to your strengths. Gl out there!

You must also consider the number of hands played in all of these "win XXbb/100 guidelines". For example, if you play NL2 6-max and everyone gets all-in PF and you happen to win, you would have a win rate of 500bb/1hand = 50Kbb/100! It takes alot of hands to bring that win down to a reasonable average (99 folds following this would result in a rate of 5bb/100, not counting the blinds). If you win another big pot, it takes even more hands, so sample size is still important.

For me bankroll = 100x buy in! When you participate of sit and go.

For cash game = 200x the maximum of cash of the table!

With 100 $ you can play 5NL and i would go down to 2Nl if you drop under 80$.
I know that the sng playlevel is not good on 1-3 $ but you should stick to 100 buy ins, which means 1 $ buy-ins for you because downsings will happen to every player unless how good you play.

It seems like your bankroll will not really increase but it will and there is no better feeling than move up a buy-in or stake.

Many people think Poker stands for getting fast money but it is not. Yes you can win a huge tournament but you have to put a lot of work and time in.

bankroll

the safest way is not to go with all the money once.
courses in poker says you have to go with a 10%.
I prefer to get about 20%.
Of course it is a mistake to go with all the money once
