easiest answer to that is stop playing K10. play more premium hands.

and those calls typically come when im bored or just sick of playing. so take a walk do somthing else for a while and get your head right.

From the sounds of it you're getting back into the game after some time away. That can be challenging becouse you're out of practice and the game has changed. With some study and play you can nock the rust off and get back to playing good. For now tighten up and play a stronger starting hand selection. Using tools like flopzilla can help you to understand what hands are included in X% of the total card combos. I'd suggest sticking to the top 10-20% of hands depending on your position. From there play, read strategy content, read mental game content and continue to improve. Be patient and take your time. Good luck

just realize ... there are 4 rounds of betting. you are trying to get a litttle bit of information each round. if you have AK, and your opponent has 72 and shoves ... he still has a 40 % chance of hitting a pair. so even though your Monster AK looks really good ... it might be waaay behind. Look into how your opponent bets. Pay close attention. Dont try to end the hand before it even begins. See what your options are, and then attack if the odds are in your favor.

Also, a pair is good ... but your 10 kicker stinks. I used to play hands like Q4 and the flop would be QQ7 ... but i would ALWAYS lose to a QJ.

Just a small nitpick, but it's more of a 65-35 situation. Also, the 35% chance 27 has to win is a total of all possibilities it has to win, not just for pairs, ie: 2 pair, trips, etc...

If I raise before the flop and i hit top pair. Like if I had K 10 i would raise before the flop and if I hit a pair of K's then i would bet about the same bet before pre flop. don't stop betting. if you keep betting then most of the times they will fold.

That´s a symptom of getting bored. I think you should play less hands, and less tourneys for a while in order to clear your mind and renovate the energies. Play poker only when you are motivated and full of desire.

Hi.
In my opinion, you just have to wait for the best cards.
I am always waiting patiently, and I will receive a reward for my patience.
Good luck.
