What do you think are good reasons to check/raise? Just to be clear; I am not talking about hands, but situations or spots.
Love to hear your view on this.
a good situation for a check raise is against a player c-betting alot or someone who notably gives up on a hand alot
heres an example of a good spot for a bluff.
You've been playing very tight and the player to your right opens for 3x on the button you call him and the flop comes down A-J-8 rainbow. Villain has been opening fairly wide and will likely c-bet the flop.
We check villian raises for around 1/2 - 2/3 the pot.
We then come back over the top for about 3 times the c-bet.
since our image is tight this player has no option but to give up the hand there without an ace since he'l be outpriced for any other hand
We can also check raise with the goods when we believe a player will call us perhaps the opposite of the tight image would work in our favour
