Cash chips are equivalent to money. They can be exchanged for money, and the winnings can be collected at any time, and if they run out, the player can buy the required amount and continue the game. In a tournament, having lost the entire stack, the player leaves the table, and the game continues until there is only one participant left - the winner.
The size of the blinds does not change during the game. In tournaments, MB and BB can grow over time.
You can enter the game with any stack within the range defined by a particular table. For tournaments the buy-in is fixed, all players start with the same stack.
The game is played at one table. The only exceptions are fast variations such as SNAP, RUSH, etc. A tournament can include multiple tables.
When choosing an online
poker strategy, you shouldn't forget about these features. Many tournament players, moving to cash tables, are faced with the fact that their usual actions do not bring the expected result. This is due to the fact that the tactics that allow you to win MTTs are not always applicable to a cash game or poker strategy.
If you have little experience of playing hold'em, and you have not yet mastered complex tactics, then the strategy of playing poker cash with a short stack (20BB) will be optimal for you. Using it, you can forget about calls. This tactic is quite aggressive and aims to take the pot even preflop. Position in relation to the dealer (button) is very important for a cash game. The most profitable will be late positions: directly to the dealer and with cut-off (in front of the dealer). Only senior pairs and premium kickers are played.
