Hey everybody!
So, here's the deal. I've been grinding at freerolls and small tournaments for a year now since I went broke by stupidly putting my whole bankroll on the table.
I've grinded my way up from $0 to over $1000 by playing very small tournaments online.
I want to start playing live cash games (for some reason I just can't play well online) Probably because I don't have a computer that can run any software like poker tracker, not that i'd want to take 10% of my bankroll out to get it anyways.
Basically, I want to actually build my bankroll outside of the small tournaments. I've been playing, but my MAX buyin is currently $50 which is the minimum at the tables locally and I just feel SO inadequately stacked at the table.
I'm fairly strapped for cash but I COULD put some of my own money into my bankroll to make it "big enough" to buy in $100 at 1/2 tables live. Do you think I should do this? Or should I try to get good at micro stakes cash online using more conservative bankroll management?
I went and played the other day and did well, I think i just ran over the first table I went to ( left up $195 after 3 hours of play) and then lost $70 on a hand where I had 88% the best of it, but also a table where I probably shouldn't have been playing, players were too good.
