My notes consist of Aggressive, calls everything, folds easily and All in cards. What else should I be putting in? also should I be making notes on as many players as i can or is that counter productive?

Anything you like that helps you remember this play. What he bets with, calls or raises with.
Is he/she a calling station or tag player.
If you see that person on your table again, take the time to read the notes you have and be willing to change or up date as the need requires.

Not much really since I use HM with NoteCaddy which does a lot of that automatically :)

Mostly just insults. Making fun of their mom, etc. My top donators might have a HAHAHAHAHAHA in there or something similar.

It's best to keep things simple with one word that describes their play style.

It could be "bluffer" or "caller" or "weak" Something that is not "Oh, he raised 5x with AK from the CO at blinds 25/50"

That note really doesn't help future situations much. Instead, "Riases big with big hand" mgiht be a better note. I also use ? in my notes. so if i have a note that i suspect is true but it's not confirmed i will put a ? on it.

So for the note above, lets say i saw my opponant raise 5x with AK, i'd put the note as "raises big with big hands??"

Once i see it more or confirm it somehow i'll remove the ?? and it's now a note.

So anyways, be less specific with notes and more about general play styles or flat out dead reads on how they play certain range of hands.

If you have a tracker most of the notes you describe will be covered in your HUD, however without that it's certainly good to have as many notes as possible.

If I know I am seeing someone more than often at a cash game or tournament, then in my notes I will keep track of his calling and raising and folding in certain positions. This helps me later on so as to make the best decision possible. I will not always be right, but at least I have the notes.

Try and be more specific or your notes are worthless... If you write "aggressive" then that really won't remind you that he raised 8BB from UTG with 33 or that he can't lay down A9s from the BB if you see what I mean. When I first started note taking I wrote fish a lot and then looked at the note and thought "Wot?" I also use notecaddy but information is information. Make a note of opening ranges and number of occurrences... eg UTG 66 OR X5 would mean that you've caught someone open raising 66 from under the gun 5 times so far...Hope this is of some use
