Well do you anticipated him having the nuts? That is what happened I snap called and of course he had it. But I'm trying to figure out if the call was right I couldn't put him on anything else other that a big pair or two pair.

the point is he doesn't always have it.

he has worse flushes, sets, 2 pairs everything that we beat..

you can never fold here, and definitely not enough to be profitable.

If its on the bubble and you wanted to cash I could see folding anything but the nuts unless you had a read on him.

You cant assume that the guy will have nut flush betting 1/8 of his stack unless you have seen him play very loose and on that spot if he is loose and you have a pair of queens and that spade draw making a overbet never hurts if you give him bad odds he will probably fold the spade draw and if he doesent you have a better chance of winning and if he had a weak ace in that situation a overbet looks like two pair or some percieve it as a set.

When he checks the turn, I'm making a bet... now i know you are thinking, no, I wanna give him chance to catch up, but why not value bet here... if he's folding to a value bet, then he's not calling your river value bet either, as he's clearly afraid you may have just hit the flush..or, he thinks he's trapping you with his 2 pair or set or whatever, either way, i'd value bet and see what he does. Also, if a 4th spade comes on the river, it's never good for you, he's either then even more scared of the flush, or maybe he has the K.

Just my opinion, I can understand if youre first to act, check raising here, (ie, hoping he bets), but if he checks, why give him chance to catch a 4th spade if he's holding Ks...

But, on the river, as played, no, I'm not folding...
