Your on the Turn and u have a gut shot, Any kind but with a strong over card and you dont pair with it. Do u try to get your last card on the river??? after youve been raised on the Turn???

And what about a flush??? with same situation would u try to get your flush???

Thanks for your comments i am just trying to c what i should try out.

Fold the gut shot straight but sometimes you can call to see the flush draw but it depends on the situation.

Work on your math, gut shot means bad bet unless you are getting awesome odds. Look at the Golden Archives, read Harrington on Hold'em or Little Green Book (Gordon).

If you are raised on the turn you are likely to be getting very bad odds to chase anything. Fold. If you are bet into and you have picked up outs, ie a strong flush draw, add up your outs and multiply them by 2. If your call can SURELY earn you that much when you hit, go a ahead and call, otherwise fold.

Rather than write a huge reply, I would just suggest you do a search for calculating pot odds and implied odds. You will get a better understanding than if I tried to explain it in my monkey math.
