hey i was wondering whats the best thing to do wen you get KKs in small blind and you have like 4 callers should you go all in, raise some if so how much, or just call n see what happens. i went all in just to try to push them out by the way but i had an AK call me and he hit an A on the river. we both had like 7000 in chips too. but for refernce just wonderin the best thing to do

All depends on the situation. What were the blinds? If they are 10/20 and you have 7k and push then you're stupid, if the blinds are 250/500 then you're making a solid play. You gave way too little information for your situation. No matter what you should be raising, how much is completely dependent on what the blinds are.

As far as getting called by AK and him hitting the A on the river, that is irrelevant to the play you made, it's just the way the cards came, you got your money in as a huge favorite.

but maybe not.... he did after all get a guy to call him???

Yeah like Hamm said it's pretty much a situational thing. You would want to at least raise enough to get the ATC players to fold being that they may put you in a bad spot by the limp.

why would you want to push people out when you have KK?

I knew you were coming with this one! Dont push everyone out but.....would you want multiple people in? Standard play is to raise and reraise with KK and by doing this do you expect everyone to follow? Why do we raise/reraise? Do we limp or slowplay and have to check/fold the flop because the A hit? Do we want to go broke by ATC? Let everyone see a cheap flop and I guarantee you find the A/rag. The hand is just to vulnerable to play around with, you want to gain from it not go broke.

Because we're probably going to end up in a pretty shit position if we let multiple limpers into the pot

Let me rephrase it. Why would your reason for shoving preflop be "to push people out"

You guys do realize we want calls when we have a good hand right? I would have no problem with this hand of OP had stated, "even though everyone just limped, they've been making loose calls all night and I suspected I could get one or even two of them to call if I shove, this getting great value"

yea the blinds were like 250/500 i had 4 callers so i figure maybe i raise and take the blinds. and yea well i was just hoping i dont lose to an ace/7 or something cuz alotta players keep callin wit an Ace anything. and like i guess i felt everytime i get pocket kks somebody jumps in and hits to lame pairs on me or something. either i go all in. or raise some and go all in on the flop if nothing comes out. i guess you guys are right its kinda situational

you made the right move there i think, blinds are high, but not that high though so it wouldn't have been a bad move to just raise it either. you just got unlucky the ace hit, it sucks but it happens!
