recently I have a problem with maintaining a high stuck
initially goes beautifully, at 300 -400 people go out for 20-30 place, but at a later stage, stupid decisions, and I'm out for the worse position ...
l can not maintain high stuck for a long time ... it bothers me, because the tournament looks great, but quickly lose.
how to play the best in the middle stage of the tournament, not lose, hold positions and reach for high places ...

Having a big stack mid game gives you an opportunity to call with marginal hands if you think that the opponent is bluffing. If lose, it doesn't really matter, if you win, you win. Also, you can loosen up and flop good with K4 and get even bigger stack.

One related issue I see fairly often is players who seem to think that having a large stack is enough reason to play sizable pots with medium strength hands just because losing won't cripple them.

Good for you if you manage to have a massive stack at the start.

That stack is temporary because others will also double up and climb the ladder.

Dont splash chips just because youre the chip leader at the table.

Play smart poker.

If you are using tracking software, then you should go back and do some work away from the table. Note the hands you lost a size of chips. What were you thinking? Why were you thinking that? What ranges did you put your villain on? What tendencies have they shown thus far?

I know for me, when I go back over a big loss, in review, I know exactly why I lost. I had QQ OTB and 3 bet a tight EP raiser. And I got spanked as I did not pay attention to my hud as he has a RPF of 2%!! So I make sure I look at what I did, and why I did it and work on not making those mistakes again.

In a tourney, it's not so cut and dried. You can still play with the numbers. Look at that players stats in your tracker and see if they are tricky? Or just flat out lucky. Either way, you will get ahead of them in the future.

If you have a big stack middle stage, don't change stick to what got you there! " if it ain't broke don't fix it"

Pay attention to where you are at in the tournament based upon others' chip stacks and whatnot. When you're far ahead you can call marginal hands, try to push people out but if everyone is playing loose and calling and you aren't getting hands you're better off protecting your stack.

Bottom Line: Judge what you need to win vs. what you can afford to lose based upon where the game is at and make your strategy accordingly.

I'm a fairly new tournament player myself, but that seems to work well for me.

Middle stage tournament - a time when excessive tightness does not benefit. You need to act more boldly, especially from late position and a tight table. Once the antes start, you'll need to use 3-bets with medium pairs and suited connectors older, as well as premium hands in the middle and late position.

At this stage, many players start cautious hope to hang on to the bubble. Do not like them

At this stage of the tournament the blinds are already big enough to steal them. If the blinds players with tight image, you need to raise with almost any two cards in late position. Tight players call poryadka5 only 10% (AK, AQ, 1010 +). However, loose players in the blinds will suit you Action 60% of cases, so do not try to steal the blinds at maniacs.
And remember, the tight players not vvyazhutsya in hand with anything. Even if you recently stole their blinds, then overpower themselves, and again raised against them, while on the button.

but at a later stage, stupid decisions, and I'm out for the worse position ...

Find out if your "stupid decisions" are actual mistakes, and how far off they are from being standard or optimal. If you don't study why they are bad plays, you will tend to repeat them, or at least I do.

I try as soon as I can. Yesterday I played a tournament, played in the 2880 persons - ended on 40 place. much more careful game. Take your time, slowly forward.
dropped out of high straight on the hands - unfortunately the color was better :)

I agree with him totally ; Patience is a virtue , and in this game you should wait for opp to rise , and get those chips and kill them all

Tourney poker is hard because the farther you go generally the better the opponents are. I try and change it up late because the better opps are paying attention. Also, IMHO any hand worthy playing late in an MTT is worth raising. Good luck!
