At times I can get a really good starting hand or flop hand during a tounny say AA, KK or AK and a flop of AAK ... I am unsure what would be the best way of playing these... I know that there is slow play but then I hardly get a chips for a really good hand.

What ways are best to play these sorts of hands.

I can recommend a very good book.
Dan harrington on Hol'em volume 1
it's a very good book. i'm learning alot with it,
but,
it depends on the players that you have at your table.
If it is super agressive table, you can just call, or make a small bet (2,3xbb). You are going to be called or re-raise, good time to go all in (KK AA QQ).
If it is a tight table, make a small bet too or sometimes a big bet, if you got called you know that the player has a very strong hand and should be careful.
Well, i'm just learning with this book, THAT'S MY OPINION. but i suggest for you to read that book.

Ok then... I find when I bet however.. no matter how small people always fold, well when its deep in a tounny.

You sometimes just have to deal with when this happens, which is quite frequent. If nobody has anything worth calling with, they won't call however small the bet is.

how you play these hands has alot to do with your image. this is why early in a tourney i like to play lots of hands and stab at lots of flops. it's the loose image created that makes it more likely to get paid off when indeed i flop a monster. but for the most part hands like these are hard to get paid off. you have to ask "what range of hands will be willing to get all in here?" and given your hand there are few hands left. for the most part i try to get it in as soon as possible. if there's a flush draw possible i like to bet smaller amounts to make them feel as though there getting correct implied odds if they hit there draw. for the most part if there not willing to call a bet there most likely not willing to put money in the pot anyway. so in the absence of any reads i like to bet my big hands to build a big pot.

Thank you for the advice, the problem that faces me is that in MTT you can't really create much of an image due to table balanceing so I don't normally bother with trying to get an image on the table unsure I have been on a table for a while or I am deep in a game.

I have the same problem when I flop a monster like that. I have found that even a min bet makes the entire table fold, fold, fold. I have checked these hands to the river hoping someone will bet out trying to bluff and often it never happens. That's just part of poker. On a rare occasion I have had someone try to steal and make a decent bluff bet, but never when I have led out betting.
