The title is kind of misleading but I was curious what is considered the best poker style, like playing passive, or playing aggressive, etc.

I find that playing the table and the situation works best. Most times I will err on the side of aggressive, but often I will take a more passive approach when I'm feeling really confident about my post-flop game and/or I have really good info on the other players. The more passive you are, the more difficult the post-flop decisions that you are going to face.

Poker is a mathematical game, and it’s a game of incomplete information. That may sound complicated, but it really isn't. On a very basic level, winning poker starts with the selection of which starting hands to play. If you enter the pot with the best hand more often than your opponents do, you will win more times than your opponents.

Playing aggressive is considered the general better strategy to play since it gives you more ways to win, but poker is a situational game. A loose aggressive player counter a tight aggressive splayed so you should learn to adjust according to who your in the pot with.

You should adjust tactic acoording to table. Dont use same tactic too many times in row etc.

I like this a lot. If you want to analyze good poker strategies and styles its pretty educational to watch the final tables of the big tournaments on pokerstars. It will show you how fearlessly hands are played especially under a lot of pressure. It will also teach you a lot about tight situations and how to play them. Good luck!

you don't always have strong hands where you can go up against just anybody at the table so you have to make a commitment to studying the other players at the table. You do this to (obviously) figure them out. From there you pick who you want play against AND (just as important) who you should avoid (at least when not strong). Look for players that are playing tight and/or scared and get aggressive on them. Just remember why you are playing them that way so that if they play back at you don't get stubborn and lose your stack.

Learn the math and statistics first. Play the cards. Once you learn how to play your cards well, then move on to learning how to play your opponents.

It depends on the table, but I prefer to be tight. A proverb Chinese says: "He who treads soft, come away"

Many say you have to be flexible and change your strategy to meet the situation, which is true. I assume you are asking the question to get some ideas of strategies to try, perhaps you might look up small ball and add elements of it to your current game when the time seems right. Good luck!

Tight aggressive style is the best , play best hands aggressively , see 10% of all hands , try to adapt your style depending on your stack size and your opponent's style of playing , so you might need to be more aggressive or loose sometimes if your foe is tight or your stack is low .I think that's he basics (hope I didn't make a mistake:rolleyes: )

If you enter the pot with the best hand more often than your opponents do, you will win more times than your opponents......you sure about that???i don't think you right even if the math is backing you up...poker is not just math.i had so many times the best hand before flop and loose ...OMG to many times i guess, this is the reason way i don't go all in so often pre flop!!..you can make some fold an AA with this board 5678..so you enter in the hand with Best hand possible but the chances to loose the hand are big..this is just an example... But without be aggresive is impossible to win at poker!!this is just my opinion.

Questions on the strategy of a game the most widespread. And each player chooses strategy personally for himself. I have chosen strategy aggressive player. I do many rais and re rais, many still blinds.
