I have signed up for a freeroll and just noticed the game is Badugi....anyone know what that is and how to play?
It's on Walker Poker in 2 hours.
I would appreciate any help.

Wow, just played my first session at carbon (playchips) & cleaned up! Sat down with like $200 walked away with like $1700. That's a fun game. One question, do pairs count against your hand? Because a lot of times I'd have badugi right off the bat, but two of my cards would be paired so i would draw a new one, wasn't sure if I should be doing that though.

yeah its fun. i think its good to mix it up. for one,you get a break from nl holdem, you get to try a new game, and you can apply what you learn in this game to your other games( mainly how you read people and what they have). gl

Badugi is a great game, I can't wait till stars finally add it, however I fear the cash stakes will be too high for me in the beginning :(

Badugi is a game to play when you are multi-tasking. No way can it consume your attention. You get Badugi right off the bat and everyone will chase it until the end no matter how much is bet. At least in HE you can get rid of the chasers if you bet appropriately.

The game is similar to Razz and also gives you the same headaches as razz...

so ......it's like a triple draw razz? with only 4 cards? and it's not good to have more than one of the same suit?

which hand would win.....As 2h 3c 5d
ac 2d 3h 4h

As 2h 3c 5d would win and it is the nuts. It's kinda like razz but no up cards.

If no one gets badugi then the first 3 lowest cards win

Does this mean that As 2h 3c 4d is a straight and a losing hand? I've only played low-ball and that would be a winner. (Of course you'd need a five also.)

Yes, 432A of different suits is the best hand.
