OK, say your buy-in is X. Do you think that you would make more money by sitting at an Xnl game or play 2 .5Xnl games at the same time. This would be online of corse, hard to play 2 tables live. and WHY?

I'm not sure I understand the question. Seems to be a bankroll question in which case doing a quick search will get you lots of results.

They are asking would it be more profitable to sit at say 1 10nl table or 2 5nl. It all depends on the table selection and how many fish. I have sat at a 10nl table and folded for an hour basically breaking even, and at a 5nl table taken 5 bucks to 20 bucks in a half and hour.
I am not good at table selection as when I am looking to play I just wanna sit and play. I do keep the percent for players seeing flop around 30 but have no patience to match up anything else.

Still a BRM question. If you are propely rolled for 10NL then sit at 2x 10NL tables. Sounds like all his roll is going down at one time.

The bankroll end of this is: if you are rolled for one $10 table you are rolled for two $10 tables. So why bother with a $5 table that pays less per hour?

Multi tabling usually has a lower return (for me anyway) as you can't follow all the nuances on more than one table as well as you can on just one. Therefore you are losing one of your edges. People multi table because despite this lower return per table there is a greater return per hour. However, by playing 2 $5 tables instead of one $10 you have the worst of both worlds. I would definitely be playing the single table.

I think playing at multiple tables is great if you have good limitations or have set strict limits for yourself...say only play a hand with qq or better ( ie QQ,KK,AA,QcKc,\QA..etc) otherwise I find it near impossible to keep track of two or more games whereby you play the table not only the cards

Agree w/ above posters. If you are rolled for 1 10NL then you are rolled for 2.. which would be more profitable then playing 2 5NL games.

Not if you do better generally at the lower level.

It depends...
