Hey all! Wondering if anyone will open up online poker tables and simply watch gameplay in order to learn/observe instead of actually playing. Also, does anyone do this live from time to time?

More beneficial to watch a sweat session with a good player

Isn't this what Twitch is for? Or are you talking about a 'all hands revealed'?

Again Twitch channels such as Live at the Bike or Stones Live.
But there are live players that will have a person sweating them, see it on occasion.

Heh, interesting you should mention this. I actually live "off the road system" in Alaska where high speed internet is precious. We have it, but under a bandwidth cap. The cap depends on how much money you want to spend each month, and as you can imagine, it isn't cheap.

After thinking about this, I realize how stupid my question must seem to 95% of the online poker world; access to high speed connections without any restrictions.

If I stream too much on Twitch or Youtube, I pay dearly for it.

What I like to do....sometimes....is just open a table and watch. I can't see everyone's hands; it's the same as just standing at a table live and watching the action (not the people). It actually puts things in perspective...to me, anyways. Being able to try and piece things together and observe playing styles without the worry of playing my own hand at the same time.

Yeah, it certainly can be helpful. This is definitely more amazing with the help of the internet, as is already known. I watch or rail friends online either when they request on a forum or I see them deep in a game and I can say I've easily learned some things from doing this. So ultimately, yes, I think it can certainly be helpful just to watch from time to time.

Sounds reasonable. Try to find a site that you can see mucked cards. ACR you can't.
