Variance Question

In what ring games is the variance greater 4max, 6max or full ring. I wanna know when I take another shot at 10NL. ty :)

I believe 4 max would be the highest variance because of the amount of hands youre going to be playing to be playing correctly. The more marginal hands you play the more variance you're going to run into.

On the opposite side, if your adjusting your play correctly, the least amount of variance would come from the full ring games simply because you're going to play less hands.

The smaller the number of players, the more weak/medium strength hands that you'll have to play for a profit, and the higher the variance will be.

Couldn't agree more with what C9 says, but also remember the bigger the variance the potential bigger the reward. But there are tremendous pitfalls and I suggest anyone starting ring out go to fullring with the intention of getting 50k hands in ... and then deciding to move to 6max to stay at FR.

No, it just made me laugh considering I'm sitting there thinking... didnt I just say that? Didnt take offense to it. Just thought it was funny was all when Ice Monkey jumped in. I had to go back and reread my post to make sure I posted what I thought I did.
