What are others coping skills for dealing with bad beats and variance?

I know bankroll management and taking breaks so not to play on tilt are good ideas.

Any others?

Thanks

I smoke copious amounts of weed to deal with bad beats :) .. and try to remember to adjust my strategy so i dont find myself in all in situations when a miracle river will crush me

Take note of the player that beat you and how they played that hand. It will likely come up again and you will likely be on the positive side next time.

I try to remind myself that my game as gotten me this far and why change it. Remind yourself it's part of the game and the bad beats will happen. Very small percentage. Try to replay the hand. If you feel you did everything to avoid the end result then you're good. Don't doubt your play.

I think one of the biggest things is to make sure Poker doesn't eclipse the other things in your life. The more it matters to you, the more these things will upset you. Make sure you have friends, or a lover, or something to distract you and provide fulfillment in your life. If I spend too much time playing I find that it's harder to brush it off if the session doesn't go well. I don't think I'd ever want to be a professional poker player, for that reason. (As though that's an option)
