Thank you for posting

We will react to these events so we must learn to refocus ourselves

This is the best possible resource for tilting

Hope this helps

That is a very important thing to manage and control ourselves. A good diet with proper healthy workouts and sleep is important as well as playing under our means. mean bankroll management . Never ever play out of your comfort zone with buyins , and yes doing meditation before playing poker is equally important in keeping ourselves controlled from bad beats

No matter how good you are, the cards will attack you at some point. AA is not a guarantee of winning, just as you win with bad cards when you are in the blinds and nobody raised, it is all part of the statistics.
The important thing is to keep playing well, playing good cards and not trash

Rinse and Repeat
Learn from the past hands and situations, study them and replay them and when everything is gained that can be gained you simply move forward.
If you are continually receiving bad beats then possibly you are playing a to tight. One thing that does offset the gross feeling of Bad Beats is actually being on the other end of things once and a while. Giving a bad beat can be a great eraser of the pain.

Just a thought.

Resilience - it is super difficult to not get tilted, at least for me. But sometimes you just need to let go. I usually start analyzing my hands, start to speak to my girlfriend about what just happened and complain about how this crazy guy crushed me with T2o against my KK..even though I know she's not into poker, she still listens to me, that helps calm me down. Additionally long walks with the dog. Doing some other stuff - I think it is important that you have several hobbies, especially for poker, because it can get really frustrating sometimes.. Nevertheless, it is important to NEVER GIVE UP! :) three feets from gold, just saying...

Try to keep only disposable rolls on sites mainly,
Quitting while down a couple of buy ins when not in a great frame of mind is ok too.
Coping mechanism for me is assuming roll on a pokersite will be lost probably and not counting it properly until withdrawn as variance causes insane bankroll swings sometimes.
We have to be willing to accept losses as soon as that money leaves the payment processor and lands on the poker site.
It is all part of the game really only the very wealthy can win nearly every day if using martingale strategy and quit as soon as their up a little for the day.

Refocus, Recover, and Revitalize. Variance is a bitch but as long as you make the right moves over the long term, you'll win more than you lose. That's what the math says at least. Variance is like the short term streaks be good or bad in a casino game. While your genuine skill is the equivalent to the house edge in this metaphor I'm using.
