The value of training sites

Hi gang,

What I'm about to say is probably old news to all of you regulars but maybe someone new would find it useful.

Until recently I took the attitude that I would invest in a training video site once I had moved up to higher limits since currently I am grinding the micros. About a month ago I realized that I needed to educate myself in order to move up not try to move up and then educate myself.

I joined a site and I have been amazed at the progress in my game. Training videos have taken my game to another level. Hearing how strong players think about a hand in a session is a revelation. At first the monthly cost put me off but now I see it as an investment in my poker education and possibly some day my poker business.

Since several of Drag the Bar's instructors post here and that isn't the site I chose (sorry guys I was looking for more fixed limit content DTB seems great for NL) I don't want to get into which site I chose. I just want to say that if you are looking for a way(along with this site) to really improve your game you should definitely consider one of the video training sites. It has kicked my game into over drive.

Totally agree. I've had a membership at a couple of sites (not currently though) and found them to be a great asset.

If I showed you graphs of my profits in the stud games before and after joining the training sites it'd make your head spin.

It does come down to hard work and discipline, but the videos do help keep you on the right path.

Best investment ever imo.

DC allows a week's free trial. In that week you can just d/l all their videos to your pc (out of courtesy obv I will never spread them.) I don't think they thought that one out too well.

I think they are thinking a level beyond what you're thinking.

I like vt poker alot, it has help in alot of ways

My point is... they want you to download a bunch, see how great they are and subscribe.

These are poker training sites. Try googling, there are several, three of the sites are referenced in this thread (Drag The Bar, DeucesCracked, VTPoker).
