There are basically two types of player, the intuitive/seat of the pants player and the calculating player.
Please be the calculating one to ensure that you are getting value for your money. No matter what you buy, if it's overpriced it's not a good deal. The same goes for poker. To make sure you're not paying too much for your bet you need to beome familiar with pot odds and outs. These are not difficlt to understand and learn and let you know if the bet you are about to make is in keeping with the amout you will pay to make the bet.

Hello, would you have a page or some book to read and study about probabilities? Thank you

I find this to be true I can find myself getting caught up in shoving all in, and calling outrageous bets, because of fellow players. Its so easy to lose focus. I get it.

Don't teach others without knowing yourself. Don't ask stupid questions.

You also have to take into consideration implied odds. Even if paying a bet is not worth it at given moment, it might be if the other person bets one more time when you make your hand

I sometimes do not mind losing a few hands of poker to reel in a big one.

Just like fishing, you should not be afraid of the price of bait, when you hook that trophy , the price of bait will be long forgotten.

That is the clear difference between a recreational and a professional / regular player, the professional / regular knows the importance of value bets, the recreational not

a good player can be very winning knowing only basic mathematics. Mathematics does not make you the best poker player, sometimes the opposite. Poker is a game of situations and people not only pot odds

I still tend to think it's a matter of luck and bluff.

I like the theory but like most games you need to be active especially in fast paced games like blast and spin n go. ace rubbish AI makes me smile every time. h2h it's great 4-5 man tables dreadful play

Get busy, value is good just don't blind out and let the big stack bully you in the process of getting value.

Thanks for pointing this out. I heard about implied odds but didn't understand what they were until now. I've been making some bad decisions from calling from simple pot odds, I think.
