Yes it was a poor decision to bet after you raised pre flop and got 6 callers.

This was a multiway pot, with facing so many opponents there is a good chance that your pair is no longer the best hand. You should not try to bluff out against so many opponents. It is often going to be a huge risk doing so and the chances of succeeding are very less. Just give up on the hand and try to reach a showdown, if someone bets (highly likely) simply fold.:icon_albi

In my opinion I'm okay with the bet on the flop, when I get called there though I'm putting the agro villain on a K with a crap kicker or the flush draw so when the 3rd spade comes up I'm not betting into the trap. Take the free card when he checks the turn and get out if he bets the river. Live to fight another day.

1. This hand description is terrible. Do the "X"s mean cards under your 9s, or just cards that weren't top ranked on the flop and not meaningful to you? It is much easier to evaluate hands when we have ALL the pertinent info --- position, stack sizes, player types, and all board information (rank and suit).

2. If you thought it was reasonably likely that all five limpers would call your button raise, then I don't like your pre-flop raise sizing at all. 99 is an incredibly difficult hand to play postflop unless you flop a 9. You either make a smaller raise (or even limp OTB) to keep all the limpers in with the intention of folding if the flop doesn't contain a 9, or you raise much bigger to try to narrow the field significantly. For people of your experience/skill level, I'd recommend the former approach.

3. The flop bet is questionable, but not terrible. I wouldn't have made it, but that's just my personal preference. Making a button bet there is fine, but you probably could have bet a little smaller and had the same effect (folding out worse hands than yours). $50 probably would have done the trick.

4. The turn shove is terrible. It's hard for me to know how terrible (yes, there are degrees of terrible) because I don't have full board info, but what hands that you beat call your $75 flop bet? This was, basically, a kamikaze shove with a probable two outs.

Aggro spazz was steamrolling the table.
There was a very good chance he had nothing, and would have folded.
Any other hand, he would have folded b/c he was basically playing ATC.
That was my logic. That aggro spazz has air. Hence, the shove.

Ok, so with 6 callers, I must assume someone has the King.
If it checks all around to me, then I must assume someone is slow rolling?
So basically, you avoid c-bet when there are so many callers.
Just fold your hand. Thanks.

This "logic" is not logical at all. Go back to my original post and answer (for yourself) the question I asked: what hands that you beat call your $75 flop bet?

Aggro spazz has already called your $75 flop bet. If he had nothing, wouldn't he have folded then? Just because he's an aggro spazz, it doesn't mean he's an idiot. Once he called your large (compared to stack sizes) flop bet with no obvious draws on the board (assumption because of the partial info you provided), you should have assumed you were beaten.

Given that you were the preflop aggressor, the post-flop action is nearly always going to check to you --- so no, you don't need to assume that someone is slow-playing (which is not the same as slow-rolling. Look up the difference).

And yes, c-betting in a spot like this is fraught with peril, as it's pretty likely someone has you beaten so you'll generally only get called by better hands. Checking is the best option here.

You haven't commented on a bunch of info from my post, though --- which is fine. Just take it under consideration as well --- especially with regard to providing more board info. It's very hard to evaluate play with the partial info that you're in the habit of providing.

Good luck.

Ok, so once an aggro spazz open raiser type CALLS a heavy bet,
you can assume he's got something legit.
If he 3-bet me, it would be more a sign of air weakness than if he just called,
b/c by calling he's not trying to scare me off the pot like a 3-bet.
