Do you usually call, raise or fold when the UTG position preflop raises your BB?

Depends on villains stats, stack sizes, position in tournament or if cash game. Lots of variables go into decision.

It depends on how much is raised, also, that my hand is important, and most can be played cash or tournament.

You have to know the history accurately to answer that question. Villain tight, played lot of hands out of position, or you have history they play any two any where? You have the worse position and better have a peach of a hand to call.

First I would base it on the bet. If they only raised 1-2 BBs then I would call with most hands just to defend my blinds. I don't want people thinking they can push me off my blinds with just a tiny little bet. If it's 3-4 BBs then I would only call with a decent hand (KQ or higher). If it was 5+ BBs I would only call with a monster hand (QQ or higher).
