Ok , here is some question about UTG bluff-can you do that ? Honestly if you raise 4 BB UTG everybody on table will be thinking twice to call you. Second , if middle position call and SB and BB fold , you are first to act on flop . I dont say that you should do often, but still ... Wondering  Looks , dont know , attempting sometimes. Or ??

There's no such thing as an UTG bluff. You're opening the pot, not bluffing.

I guess I would ask what are you trying to accomplish by opening (bluffing) from UTG? Are you hoping everyone folds?

Yes it would be sick if you bluff from that position, but from my position I would put you on something good.

I wouldnt recomend opening utg as a new member at the table, especially in a micro game. Actually you would be well advised to watch the action for at least 2 orbits to get a good feel of the table.

What makes you think ANYONE at the table is capable of thinking?

Yeah , you probably right . Depends of opponents , but sometimes just change the style little , raising from UTG on cash table is strong move.

Oh I understand that but I never assume anyone I'm playing does until proven otherwise.

Its a hard move since you have to pass through 8 players in a 9man table or 5 in a 6man table.

Only if you are a huge chip leader, I've seen a lot of pros do that.

utg bluff thats pretty out thee as far as strategy goes but it may work if the opponents are pretty tight in a 6 max game

When you attempt to bluff, you are not trying to do it preflop
(to hope everyone fold to your utg raise is not a bluff)
Your bluff is considered by the number of players already in the hand postflop, board texture and the player/s themselves...
You have to consider many things when bluffing besides there are 2 kinds of bluffs - semi-bluff (when you have outs,or you think you have outs and a pure bluff with absolute nothing - recommended for experienced players)

Short stacked late in a tournament, I think moving all in UTG with junk cards is an alright plan. The rest of the table should give you credit for decent holdings and you can try to steal the blinds before they hit you on the next turn.

Other than that, I dump anything that's not a premium hand UTG. Playing out of position sucks even with the best of hands.
