Understanding Poker Tracker

Two questions.

How is you all in EV determined on your PT graph? Is it just the difference between your money won with and without showdown?

I generally play 6maxNL. My stats are around 16/12 on 12 plus tables. I never open limp. Shouldn't I have a 16/16? What am I missing here?

To be 16/16 you would have to raise everytime you enter a pot preflop. If you call a raise your PFR% becomes lower.

All in EV looks at where you were in the hand at the point the money went in. So if you had AA and opened on the button, sb fold, bb shoves, you call with AA. BB turns over KK. You are both full stacked playing 25nl, so you both have $25. Using poker stove AA wins 81.71% of the time. So you take $50 * .8171 = $40.86. So on the graph you all in ev would show $40.86. In PT3 it's showing just profits and losses, so divide by two and $20.43 is what the all in ev for that hand would be. I believe that's how it works.

If you have a negative EV, you are getting your money in behind. If your EV is positive you are getting it in ahead. And if your EV is positive, but your actually profit is negative, it means you are getting sucked out on, ie experiencing negative variance.

Actually, you can still be getting your money in ahead and have a positive EV.

For example:

You shove AA ten times preflop and win all ten times. EV dictates you should have lost once or twice. Even though you are getting it in as an 80% favorite all ten times, you are still running above EV because you were supposed to lose 20% of the time.

Also, to the OP, beware of making all-in EV to be more than it really is. It's a common mistake to get too attached to all-in EV on the graph as the end-all, be-all of your poker luck. All-in EV does not take into account action on previous streets (maybe your betting line makes it so you typically get all-in with an insignificant amount left in your stack on the river, and your opponent makes his one-outter... to all-in ev it makes it look like you were never ahead in the hand), nor does it account for many other types of poker luck such as frequency of cooler situations such as set over set or nut over second nut type of hands.

While all-in EV CAN be useful, it is only ONE facet of poker variance which needs to be accounted for.
