Depends on other factors... but usually playing TAG you may raise with AK, AQ, AA, KK, QQ, JJ... maybe AJs also. Sometimes I even limp with AA if I know someone is going to raise... so i can get more money in the pot and then reraise. Playing LAG you may raise with suited connectors as well... 56s for example has around 40% equity against AK (42% if against AK offsuit)..

depends on table dynamics, but I go 2.2-2.5x with roughly 10% opening range

I play the pairs I sence that they will win, and agree with the maths, and compairing with the past pairs.

Depending on how tight the rest of the table is, sometimes you can get away with shoves with short stacks or 6-8BB raises with low pocket pairs, because most players assume thats a very strong hand from UTG preflop (AA, KK). But otherwise its usually only top pair and broadway cards (about top 10%). I see someone said about limping in with AA from utg, but personally unless your playing deep in a MTT I'd stick with the standard 3BB minimum to keep some of the bad hands that hit sets and draws on the flop.

Hi, I said about limping with AA IF you are assuming it is very very likely that someone will raise... sometimes you are at a table with many loose aggressive players and you know that at least one of them will raise, or maybe the button or co is a LAG and you are pretty sure they will raise if no one raised before them... Then you can bet (reraise) more aggressively and take marginal hands off. Now imagine you are playing in a table of tight players... you bet 3bb utg just to see everyone fold and see no action... even worse if it is in the beginning of the tournament when the blinds are worthless.

With a tight crowd you raise up to 4BB no more. With a loose crowd I just limp from UTG usually as even with aces you will want them to raise into you as you know you can inflat this pot real nice and juicy by first showing weakness to them.

For me it's all about who I'm playing at the table and what's going on in the game

Most of the times I raise only 2 BB in UTG position. Regardless of the hand, actually, be it AA or, say, KQ suited.

I play only normal, good hands, of course, from UTG, because hands like A7 simply do not make sense in that position. KQ is the border I would say, QJ, wouldnt play from UTG

A very ungainly pre-flop position where a player has no information about any player, because he must first be asked! From such a position, usually comes in with a larger pair of dozens, nines, and so on. AK, AQ are good tickets for this position, everything below is risky!

It depends on the stack sizes and how aggressive are other players at the table. In general I think good hands to raise are pocket pairs, AK, AQ and suited connectors.
