Hi. After making two donkey calls with an under full house on a two paired board in six max I said I would never make that mistake again.
In the very first hand in a low stakes heads up sit 'n go today I ended up with an under full by the river and I'm not sure if I played the hand right or not.
I call a pre-flop raise with 7 5 on the button. Flop comes Q 8 7. Villain checks, I check. The turn comes 8. Villain bets pot, I call. The river is a 7.
Villain bets 2/3 pot.
As it's the first hand, the pot is small in relation to stacks. I'm thinking, if I raise and he shoves, I'm in a bad spot. I just call and villain shows queen jack and I take the pot.
I thought afterwards it was a mistake. I maybe should have raised and would have got a call from a Q and if villain has a 8, it's a cooler heads up. What ya think?
Cheers.
