Well deposited 15 dollars today and I am starting to try and build a bankroll once more;) In the past I have killed my rolls by playing out of proper brm tilting and especially moving up to try and recoup loses:eek:

I am starting modest at the 6 max sng at the .50+.10 tables. That is 25 buyins if I drop to 20 buy ins I will drop a level to .25+.5 tables. This is after I have been grinding at freerolls and winning itm about one a week but trying to build from that is a real crapshoot. I still will be trying to build on full tilt by building free chips up to play in 500k for 40 dolla tourneys. I guess I will report my progress on here hopefully it wil be positive but if not I hope to learn from my mistakes make adjustments and get back on track. Any comments or suggestions are appreciated:D :D

P.S. I am also including at least one hour a day to studying various articles on here that 2 for 2 place and sng planet......

Hello ! I recently started playing, too. Have only been playing for two weeks with actual cash, started with a $50 no deposit promo + $10 of my own money to unlock the RAI$E promotion there. I'd like to get into freerolls, but it seems that there aren't many on UltimateBet that I can sign up for... bummer...

In the meantime, I take it you are playing NL, right ? I suppose you'd get a lot of play for your dollar (penny ?) with only SnG's. I have not yet tried those, but I hear they are loads of fun. Personally, I am playing $0.02/$0.04 Limit Hold'Em - still learning how to fold, lol, but learning much.

Dunno if this will help, but in the UB software, under Options, you can set the table preferences to put a bright blue F in front of the people who fold. That has personally helped me a great deal, because it makes it easier to see who got out of the pot. That, and I turn on the bunny cam. I love that rabbit. Freakin' awesome. He only appears when everyone folds before the river. I have found it very enlightening to see him reveal the next card that would have been. Very helpful. Good luck on the felt !

I'd definitely stick with the 6 max sng's, UB imo probably has the best structure and the competition is ultra soft at the lower stakes so if you even have a basic understanding of sng strategy you'll find yourself making a profit in the long run.

Well I am coming to realize changing the style that You play can be frustrating, at least for myself. .25 and .50 6 max sng has been difficult as changing from tilt back to ultimate has challenged me. It seems that playing so tight has made it that when I go into a hand they just fold out, which can be profitable but paying blinds while waiting for those hands are not offsetting the wins.

Going on tilt in a way that in the past 3 days have placed itm in 3 tourneys 1 1st place!!(2700-5400 players in top 30) but when I go to a 6 max only coming itm 1 out of 5.. Jumped sound brm to recoup loses and hit on the 2 dollar so I can play more but this is wrong.....ending balance today 10.43 2morrow is another day:)

Maybe you'd be better off playing 9-plyr. SNG's??

My 'advice/suggestion'.... keep on Posting here on CC and get yourself into the 'Freedom 65' Club. (I mean.. freeroll... same thing.. kind of).
In Cardschat UltimateBet freerolls there are usually around 50-60 entrants with Top18 getting paid ($150 freeroll).
The Cardschat buyin tourneys on UltimateBet are even better.... with usually around 20 players and Top 9 getting paid.
You can't go wrong with BRM by playing in these games.... I've never deposited on UB and have built up a $100+ roll on there, playing very rarely.
THere's also a bunch of other tourneys worth playing on UB with 'cash-added'... ie. The OnlineForumChallenge.. one coming up real soon!!
Play for CC.. cash in the freeroll... hopefully we win another Freeroll on there.

I've only played a couple of SNG's on UB so I really couldn't tell you what I think of them (one was a 60center, the other $5),... and a couple of $10-mtt's.
UB isn't my site of preference (too low of player volume in the games I prefer to play... MTT's & SNG's), however if &/or when I do want to play on there, there's always a couple/few private games to enter.

If you are gonna play tight try the turbos, prefer the 9 seat to the 6 seat myself. Just sit there abusing Mr. Fold button & watch the other players, usually gets down to 4 or 5 fairly quickly as the 5 minute blind levels seems to encourage even looser playing & you should have some sense of how the players left are playing. Good luck.

Tight play is not adviced for 6max games, you should play more hands and be more agressive. If that style doesn't suit you very well, keep on playing the 9 people sitngos.
