Have been playing poker on and off for a couple of years but would really like to get more into it this year. I prefer tournaments to cash games but have only ever won a tournament once and that was for 80$. I've heard that new players should stay away from MTT's until they have enough in their bankrolls to cover themselves. I enjoy SnG's and am willing to play them to build up my bankroll. Question is what advice do you lot have for a player who wants to do well at this game and eventually become a winning player who makes money. Are there any good books for someone like me to help me improve my game? Only got 25$ to deposit too so I will be at the micro/low stakes, most of the books cater for the mid stakes so I don't really want to waste my money on books that won't help me play and beat lower stakes games. What would your advice be?

Hey, I can advice you to read Polished Poker by John Anhalt. As for me it's a good choice if you want to play better. In addition it's free but has a paid workbook with tasks and questions. I think it's a good way to better learn the material.

if you are planning on playing sng's to run up your bankroll, i'd highly recomend "secrets of sit n gos" by phil shaw and "sit n go strategy" by collin moshman. I got both of them used from amazon for like $2 each. also, PulseAU has some great sng related videos on his twitch page.
