I have read several times on here, to stick to one game, so for some reason I decided to start playing in mtt. I have found pretty decent success, in mtt, but I have noticed that my cash game has taken a serious hit. Is there something I should be doing between cash and mtts???

Cheers

This is my 2-cent:
Cash is all about patience, while MTTs are all about races

If you're good with cash, play MTTs for fun till you get a good grip over it (that's what I'm doing). I'm more of a cash game player and honestly, I haven't made any deep runs in MTTs yet (I might have played over 200 MTTs by now). One thing I've noticed is that in MTTs, people generally play more loose than in cash.

I'm trying freerolls for now (there are tonnes of freerolls, and CC has like 5 in a week in PS); will start with SnG in a few day and take it from there.

Very entertaining. Try playing SNG. Play cash games at multiple tables. If things are bad with them, may your calling tournaments.

Hard to pass on cash from mtts. You want to play many hands, often bluff, as you got used. But you must be more tight and patient. Good is that one single hand means not much. You may mistake in all-in and be not kicked off from the game.

Treat mtt different from cash. Each has its own strategies.

Just continue where youre good at.

Good luck...

I totally agree with a lot that has been said, cash and Mtt's are so different that they should be recognised by a different name, NOT just NLHE or whatever you choose to play. I personally stick to Mtt's as I don't have the patience to play in cash for long.

Some people will say that you also need patience in mtt's however, a lot less is needed. Another thing is that in cash you can always reload, but in mtt's, (unless it is a rebuy), once your out your out.

Simply put I suggest you stick to what your good at, and what is important to you!! If making $20 per hour is important, then cash is your game. If your bankroll can withstand it then cashing in say one tourney in twenty is your game. Gl.................:D:D:D

I too first played for money but did not achieve much success until it began playing in multi-table tournaments. And everything went much better and I realized that this is exactly my. Now I only play MTT.

Play for tables with cash.Even I won $ 110 and was +. But once it began a minus, but I moved to melt Cash on sng and freerolls. There, I feel more confident.
