Most of the training sites I've found tend to be geared towards tournament play, anything you have come across for cash game players? Any books you can recommend, etc? I am tired of tournaments and have found I enjoy cash games much more.

I haven't bought my copies of Harrington's new books yet, but I have read the HOH tournament books, so I am sure the Harrington on Cash Games 2 volume series has to be very good.

Phil Gordon's Little Blue Book is a good go.
CardPlayer magazine website has some free instructional vids. on it (Poker Savvy, and also in their strategy section (or whatever it's called). Vids. anywhere from 4mins. to around 10mins., many in 6-max. NLHE, describing their play usually while playing on 4tables at once.

stoxpoker is a great site for cash game coaching videos. I am a member and so are a few of other CCers who all are good players.

How much do you pay for your membership, Munchrs?

yea stox is mostly cash. Price is a little steep if you are playing really small stakes at ~$200/6 months or something. If you aren't from the USA, sign up on titan, deposit a little and play for an hr or so and you get 6 months free. Then just withdraw or whatever.

I heard Cardrunners and Stox poker are "joining up"

I am not sure of the ins and outs but as far as I know Cardrunners will concentrate on higher stakes, while stox on lower. Another bonus will be if you have one you will get discount on the other. But if they are splitting high and low limits, why would you want both?

i get it free by signing up to sites through the stox referal links :D

You had to make a deposit right? There's no way they would let you get the points by playing play money right..?;)

It is probably like a $50 deposit then play for a little while to clear some points. Then just withdraw after that if you don't want to play at the site.

LOL, you guys are hilarious....

There's this place called Cardschats.com where there is tons of info and it's all free, you just have to use your head to read posts that cover everything there is in the poker world, and if you can't find an answer to your questions just ask and you'll surely get great advice from very talented poker players. All you have to do is sign up and be willing to learn and participate!

No deposit, no fees and no national boundries to worry about, just a lot of good people willing to help out fellow poker players out of the kindness of their heart.

I have not read any books or studied any training sites although I did just join one that has a school on board but someone told me you cant really be taught how to play poker it has to be a natural thing. I think experience helps a lot if you learn from it.
