This video is a sweat session with WVH. Despite some technical difficulties I feel we had some decent spots to talk about. I apologize in advance if we offended any Native Americans or Russians. With that said stereotypes are stereotypes for a reason.:D

Interesting idea posting sweat sessions, but anyway the quality is way too bad. What did you guys use to record? Camtasia records really really well

Try uploading it to something like MediaFire. Sites like youtube add massive compression to the video which in turn makes the HUD unreadable.

I'm pretty sure you can download the file I uploaded at the bottom of the link on this page. Using sites like MediaFire was a pain in the ars.

ok just finished the video..very nice...things i noted.

TPC any reason you always raise 4x BB when opening? just curious

also on the hand where you had AJ and turned trip jacks i agree with WVH on betting that turn imo.

what size monitor u have TPC?

good video

i'd like to set up my HUD like urs..but no idea how lol

Thanks for the shout out in the vid!

I remember you queering what I said last time about boards like JJx or KKx

What I said (or at least what I meant to say) was that as these boards either hit or miss villian you should be prone to c-bet them with air.

The exception would be if you heald something like QQ KK or AA where you never get worse hands to call, but you always get called by better.

With hands like QQ+ you arent so concerned with being outdrawn so your equity share is fairly safe. By checking back with these hands you can induce bluffs / value bets from worse hands.

With a hand like 88 on the same board, you still wont really get called by worse but as the hand is likely to go to SD if neither of you have a Jack you need to bet to collect dead money (money that villian has given up on) this in turn protects your equity share as a hand like 88 is very vuanerable to overcards.. i.e if the turn is a 9 then Q9 now beats you.

That's something Icemonkey9 advocated way back when I started playing. I'm only opening 4x UTG to late mid position. Hijack, cutoff and button I open for 3x. Any other time it's 4x plus one for every limper.

The thought on this is to get more in the pot, picking up one extra bb helps out a lot when opponents are calling and folding to c bets, which is what they do a lot at 10nl. If I'm on a table with a bunch of calling station fish with position on me, I will usually change to 3x. Also, seems like a 2.5x raise when stealing doesn't get as much respect and also causes me to open 2.5x when I have monsters in the stealing positions. So I just bumped my bet size up on every action preflop.

also on the hand where you had AJ and turned trip jacks i agree with WVH on betting that turn imo.

Yeah, I have to watch the video again. I only remember the hand somewhat. I also think it depends on the board and the villain. I don't remember the villain or the board, but you both are correct, we should be betting for value here more than trying to induce a river bet from the villain.

what size monitor u have TPC?

I actually run two monitors. My laptop monitor and what I think is a 20 inch, but it's a square, not wide screen. Wide screen is better. So you saw my 20 inch in the video. When I normally play ten tables, I have six on the laptop screen and four on the big monitor. Six fit on the laptop better cause it's wide screen even though it's smaller.

i'd like to set up my HUD like urs..but no idea how lol

I'm pretty sure I covered it in this video

If not PM me and I can help you set yours up via teamviewer.

I respect your thoughts and ideas, so mentioning you in a video was bound to happen sooner or later.

Thanks Stu! That makes complete sense. I just wasn't sure in the sweat with WVH cause I had just saw your post right before we did the video. I usually like to watch the video and find the hands you are talking about, so it refreshes my memory. Just with my crazy work schedule, I haven't had the time.

actually i will send a pm...i dont get it...i would love to 6table on my laptop with a running HUD..but i think it may be impossible on my 15.4" laptop?? thoughts???

no wonder i couldn 4 table and see all my stats if yours was on a 20" monitor...my laptop is like 15.4" so makes sense.

also the last session i ran i was 4x BB like you did...you get MUCH more respect and so many folders. kind of like it so far.

My laptop monitor isn't big. It's probably only 15.4". Pifan Has the same laptop I do, so if you really want to know, ask him. PT3 and HEM, the HUD is the same size no matter what size your tables are. So it should matter if you are playing one table or six, the HUD will be the same size.

You need to set your seat in HEM, watch the PT3 video, it's very similar to how it's done in HEM. I would tell you how to do it, but I don't really remember. I would need to play around with HEM to do it.
