I want to know other people experience. How do you make more money, playing cash games or playing tournaments?

The both are different and it depends on your playing style and what you prefer. If you cash in some tourney you have to reach some place to get money, while in cash games you have luck and making money you play or you lose a few $ and leave. This is my opinion I prefer tournament games :)

If you are patient enough you could earn 1000 times your entry fee in couple of hours. This is quite good. Imagine to win 1000 USD with a single dollar. I would be so happy but I have never had the balls to risk a dollar in a big tournament and patient enough to not act a fool because I am bored. :D

To be honest, Im finding cash games too hard to beat. I would say that tournaments have much softer field, where I still can get some edge.

I have been trying to play cash games then use the money there to buy in to small tournaments.. tourney play always requires a bit of luck I think in the late game.. forcing action when the blinds go up. Cash games are a bit more relaxed on playing with the money you have at the table

I found grinding away at the ring games made for a steady increase in my BR but it wasn't enough and I ended up playing Tourneys as well.

Ring games were always the best way though.

Everyone chooses, but I personally like to play in tournaments. The atmosphere of competition is very nice to win with a large number of participants. But if a little free time and the main goal is money, then of course cash games.

I started playing poker about 3 months ago, currently I have made deposits, but they have not yielded anything ... at the moment I am playing freeroll more in search of experience than in search of money .... I have a plan to come back To deposit after the month of August ... with a greater experience I believe that the profits will be great.

If you have to ask that then your game must not be up to scratch yet, concentrate on learning the game and getting better before you start to think about what is more profitable, to be profitable you first must have the skills.

Keep reading here at CardsChat and posting hands for analysis by players that are profitable and willing to help newcomers to the game.

My biggest gains are mainly SNG and MTT, in cash games I find it more difficult to fear good profits

I think it shouldn't be to hard to make a little profit on the cash games.

I started playing poker about 3 months ago, currently I have made deposits, but they have not yielded anything ... at the moment I am playing freeroll more in search of experience than in search of money .... I have a plan to come back To deposit after the month of August ... with a greater experience I believe that the profits will be great.

I went through something similar like this myself. Only I was playing Play money to gain some experience. In my opinion playing play money you only find some serious play at tournaments and sit&go's.
So I kept doing that with real money but soon found out that it's much easier to make some steady profits at the ring games.

From my experience I can say that it is the fastest method to win the money but at the same time the most dangerous if I had to give you a single concept to play only in the lowest levels is to say 0.5-0.25 even if What you want is to win big amount of money is in the tournament where you are going to get cash beyond 0.5-1 is dangerous there are many hackers and russian sharks

Tournament hands are played for tournament chips (not money) which only becomes money if/when you make it deep.
Tournaments are softer fields with a fixed risk (the tournament buy-in)
Tournaments also do not reward gambling in the way that cash does.
Tournaments are won by tight players in almost all circumstances and luck plays more of a factor in large tournaments due to blinds outpacing stack growth, so you will end up having to all in preflop ALOT more in a tournament then you ever will in cash games.

Cash tables are completely different.
Cash tables are more about knowing the math of odds-to-call, pot odds, implied odds, and risk vs reward. Gambling/bluffing/and advanced play are MUCH more common at cash tables.
Cash tables also have the potential to pay of much greater/faster then playing a tournament, so if your strictly interested in "potential gains" then cash games (even heads up play) is where its at.
The risk is far greater at a cash table, as your potentially risking your entire bankroll since you have the ability to "reload" unlike in a tournament.
