Hi all

I wondered what you guys thought of Tournament Indicator?

Seems quite expensive when paid for up-front. I really want to imrpove my latter stage tournament play. I won't ever be playing many, many tables at once - probably 2 at the most.

Did you guys even have a need for such software when you were starting out?

Cheers!

HEM or PT would do your game a lot more. The Indicator products are very basic and if you can't tell how many outs you have to make your hand and do the most basic of poker math, then you would be better spending your money on books or just saving it and reading online than wasting it on that product.

Agreed. HEM or PT are the only tools worth spending money on (although I'm happy for others to point out anything better that I'm not aware of).

Thanks for the no-nonese answers.

I've just looked at PT4 and it looks excellent. I'll run the trial version and will see how it goes.

One question about other players' stats in PT4 though - do I have to sit at a particular table and play in order to build a saved database of other opponents' stats, or can I just open up a whole bunch of tables on my desktop and have PT4 observe them?

At the moment I tend to play a single MTT at once, so the stats wouldn't be very significant if I continue at this rate!

Thanks guys

No, you cannot datamine other people's games with PT4. That is against virtually all sites' TOS. You gain stats on players by actually playing with them.
