I blame "pokerstars" for giving river card to the opponent when I have A/K suits and oppo has 4/4 turn goes 2/J/K turn 7 river 4... You get my point so yeahhh I would like to ask the community please post some e-books videos or something that helped you in your pokerlife! Thank you and Love you all ! ❤

Think the first step....

Think the first step....is stop depositing. Try to work on your game and play freerolls and then add money added forum games. Have you tried reviewing your hands after you play, or posting hands in the forum, watching training videos, reading poker books, or getting a coach?

What you dont want to do is keep doing the same thing and expecting your results to change.

First of all, change site if you feel like you are only losing at PokerStars. Make a fresh start somewhere else. I'm not getting into details why, but honestly, change site. At least give somewhere else a try and you might be surprised.

Once you have done that, stop tilting. Tilting is probably one of the biggest reasons why so many players eventually fail and keep losing, even though they would otherwise have the potential to be successful. I know the feeling when horrible bad beats happens, sometimes too many times in a row, but try your best not to tilt. After all, tilting is only a mental state and you CAN prevent that if you just keep breathing and telling yourself that tilting doesn't make things better. Quite the opposite actually because most of the time it just makes things worse. And believe me, I know what I'm talking about.

I really respect players who are able to look in the mirror and think that maybe the problem comes within themselves so it's great that you want to learn more about the game and become better at it. So, here are some of my favorites that has helped me a lot along the way:

BOOKS:
Phil Gordon's "Little Green Book"
Daniel Negreanu "Power Hold'em Strategy"

WEBSITES:
Gripsed gripsed.com
BlackRain79 blackrain79.com

Good luck!

You know sometimes I just wonder why people like you even bother to answer if they have nothing to say. He IS trying to learn and that's why he is asking advices, books to read etc. He doesn't learn anything from advices like "reading players is the key" when you are not giving any information HOW to do that. I mean c'mon people, read the topic and question before giving useless advices. I'm sorry if this makes you upset but in these last few days I have read so many answers like this from all over this forum and can't take it anymore. Focus.

From what you've said there do you find that you're losing a lot of coin flips? If so, are these flips you need to be taking or are you taking unnecessary risk for a quick reward?

If you find you're getting into a lot of positions where you have to go all in or fold then maybe check out an App called "shove fold" which can help you

Here everything is written correctly! In my experience, at pokerstars I play only freerolls and sit and go, there are a lot of rooms where I win and withdraw money, this is 888, a unibetpoker. But it's not enough to change the rum, you need to analyze your game, after losing, to look for your mistake, I often watch the streams of regular players online and the game of professional players. All the same, I won or not, I always play freerolls three four times a week, this is for me as a practice. Good luck at the tables!

Since yesterday I use a loss limit. When I start I check my bankroll and use a threshold of 75% of that, so when I buy in, I never cross that limit and when I cannot buy in anymore without crossing that limit, I stop and accept the losses of 25% max. It doesn't improve my game, on the other hand it prevents me from tilting for no reason the next game.

If you're playing poker just to win some money then forget about it because there are easier ways to do it. If you play because it's fun and you would also like to make something extra then start with freerolls.

I'm 100% sure you spend too much time playing and not enough studying the game. It's gambling approach and nowadays you will have better odds at winning by playing slots than grinding tables. It's the same as playing chess with your dad once a month and then you think you're good because you can beat him and decide to play for money at your local chess club.

I also would suggest to start with freerolls and stop depositing for a while. Depositing is interesting, when you know you are a winning player and you want to achieve some bonusses with this.

I think there is no reason to blame a poker room for giving a poor player at the river his trips with his small pockets. It can happen at any room. Your example just shows that villain plays kinda fishy.

I guess books also depend on what kind of game you play.
Books from Harrington are kinda classics. Very nice to read.
But for tourneys I also liked this one:
The Poker Tournament Formula by Arnold Snyder
About videos I liked some from Splitsuit Sweeny, altough he is more a cash player. But I guess there are a lot more.
As I said, it depends what games you play.

GL at your tables.

Thank you for the advice. Yeah atm I just dont have anything to do so I grind poker yeah its fun but when I cashed few times so it got me thinking maybe its possible to cash more... Its always fun to play poker but now I take it a more serious decision. What you wrote its true the more I grind the more I lose but now I made a promise to myself that I want to learn poker.

I would recommend reading Dan Harrington on Modern Tournament poker. Every time I take a break from playing poker and study the game instead I come back a better player.

Read this book:

52 Great Poker Tips: At Home, at Tournament and Online by Lou Krieger

Buy online e-book rather than the real thing (cheaper) read it cover to cover, memorize every single tip and truly grasp what it means.

You will go from beginner to amateur literally from this book alone. You won't be pro yet though, that comes purely from practise and a couple other things.

Just play the freerolls, so you stop losing your money.
Go play at 888 there are freerolls you can easily get to itm and start from there.

Find and practice online poker lessons on the forums, and play a lot
freerolls, and everything will turn out and you can win money in freerolls and play good expensive tournaments and cash games and get money, and not invest and lose!

Do you play Cash games or MTT?

I think that's important to know to start with. And the example you mention, that can happen all the time.

HeyDomukasm..i feel you 100% because i was also loosing player at start of my poker ''career''.But first of all,let me do a a big parenthesis now:I had a big minus in my game for a very long period(something you mentioned also)..I was extremely tilted when i was loosing..I had tilting problem even when i started winning money for long period(after study and improve my game)...There were some very bad sessions that hurt my bankroll and i was doing the worst..i was tilting and i was burning ALL my bankroll in very big buy in Sngs,or even worst at casino!!!End of parenthesis so lets get to the point:
My opinion is that you need a break from playing in tables and you starting to study seriously the game..Start from beginning from simple stuff that you think you already know..you will find that many concepts that you think that you know, you dont know in depth such as the maths of game.Examples like pot odds, implied odds, reverse implied odds, combinations of hands, bet sizings etc etc)..There is a very good book about the simple maths of the game..''Poker Math that Matters by Owen Gaines''..i advice it 100%...In my opinion,Maths in Poker is the base that you will build your further knowledge of the game..
Now about Mtt,Cash or Sngs(i dont know which format you play) previous guys posted some good books..I dont know if there are outdated in 2017 but they give you a way of thinking..Personally i would advice you to enter in free poker training streams..
Pokerstrategy.com is a very good free site which offers almost daily training coachings in NL Cash,Mtts,Sngs,Omaha etc..Coaches are very good and answer in every question about how they played a hand etc.Twitch streams have also live sessions of professional players that show the way they play and its also helpfull..Also start to read articles there or here in Cardchat...Lastly start to post here hands that caused you problems and trying to find answers..'What i did wrong?'' or ''how would you play this hand''?Be active in forums and try to extract the most valuable information to improve your game.Ask whatever you dont understand..Its not a shame at all..If you real give an effort to study your game and remove tilting, you will see how much better you will doing at poker...:)
PS: During the study period, you can play all the possible freerolls to check the concepts you learn with no risk, and maybe you can build a small bankroll without deposit..I hope i helped :)

you should understand that only 5% of players play a profitable game, but even they have bad times. I advise you to find poker friends and learn together so that you become more effective
