Next in a long line of donk questions I have is this... What is the best way to combat tilt when playing multiple tables. I just went on major tilt. I was up big for the session and lost it all in about 25 hands. I had a flopped full house beat by a straight flush on the river this morning and went in to major melt down mode on every table I was playing. I have 2 major problems in my game. First: I play terrible when I get tired and Second: I try to get back every loss immediately. I know the fix to both really. Get rest, and don't do it. Thing is I tend to lose my better judgment as soon as I go on tilt. I lose all self discipline. How do you guys get over bad beats instantaneously and keep the poise required to keep grinding profitably?

I have observed different types of tilt at the tables that i played. this can be bad beats tilt, tilt when u play against aggressive players, damn bad mood tilt, etc. there are many factors which are able to bring you off balance. in this situation, I usually end the game session, without trying to make comeback, if its certainly not a tournament, in MTT u can sittout for a little. The game is better to finish with minimal losses than to be at zero under the influence of tilt

Hi Curtis Ellis and welcome to Cardschat. Sorry if I missed your introduction tread. Over coming the tilt you are talking about is takes a lot of time, patience, a positive mind set, and focus. I probably could add a few more to that, because it takes ALL of you to play poker. You said "I know the fix to both" If you do know how to fix it, why don't you fix it? I been right where you are now, and I battled with tilt a long time, but when I got it under control, I looked back and seen that all the time it took was worth every minute I spent removing tilt from my game. TILT has no place in your game. It only causes more loses. Curtis, you can over come tilt. You have to chip away at it. Think and talk to yourself while you play..If you take a beat, think for a minute and ask yourself if it's worth a possible lose of more if you tilt. GL to you

If I hit a run like that I tend to stop playing for a short period... Give your mind a chance to adjust to the fact the bankroll you had has gone... Calm yourself down after a 'time out' period, then make a fresh start...
