I want to discuss two topics on tilt here:
1. When tired get tilted much easier.
2. Sum up tilt from previuos sessions If you have 2 losing sessions and started new one you get tilted easier. Your thoughts and how to combat

If I see that I am in tilt, then I just close the table and do not play until I calm down.

2. Read the book Jared Tendler "The Mental Game of Poker".

I've started reading that book, and I think it's the most useful reading material I have on my to-read-list! Great recommendation :icon_boun

1. Don't play when you are tired. Not only do you tilt easier you won't make the correct decisions all the time. Your brain isn't as sharp so only play when you are well rested.

2. Don't worry about past sessions. Play each hand for that hand ony and not worry about what happened yesterday or earlier today. Unless it is involving how an opponent plays. All you can do is make the right decisions and the cards will fall where they may. If you start thinking about losing yesterday you will chase losses and play bad.

The key to managing TILT is to play very smart bankroll Management. If you are being affected by losses(and wins for that matter) you may be playing out of your comfort zone and will not be playing optimal poker.

I don't think anyone is ammune to TILT but you can do this and it should greatly reduce it. Good Luck!

My tuppence: When a previous session's results are sticking in my mind I routinely to do a couple things.

I go over the situation(s) that affected my mental play. Can I resolve the issues: should I have played the hand differently, maybe not gone all in? - did I get my money/chips in ahead? - should I have folded? I try to analyse everything, including my mental state during play.

I do not keep a poker diary but I do keep a tilt diary. As I go over the situations and try to resolve them, I find that my tendency to tilt has become a less common feature of my game. If I know I got my money in with a EV+, that's all I can do. In the long run, I'll be making money doing this - but bad luck is your companion also. If I'm donking off chips, then I need to work on my donkiness. I think one day, I won't have to make entries in this diary. I'll just need a regular poker diary.

One thing I never do is make excuses. That way leads to poker hell. And sometimes, I just give myself time off if I feel the poker tilt lingering. Addressing poker tilt seems to help me stop tilting at other life situations. Poker itself can become a learning tool for life - and vice versa.

1. Try to avoid from playing tired. Only if you must play, then at least have a cup of coffee :)
2. Don't start a new session if you weren't able to leave the previous ones behind you

a well-motivated player can concentrate more easily on his journey and has a more open mind. In poker, a good level of motivation is your secret weapon to climb the ladder. when you're tired, you get bored faster, which means you're less patient, so you expand your game and make mistakes. Do not play when you're not. in shape to not affect your game remains in my opinion the best solution to adopt.

First, you need to make sure you are playing within your financial limits. You shouldn't be stressed out because you lost your stack on one hand. As Doyle Brunson says, buying another full stack should be just as easy to you as buying a hamburger/sandwich. If not, you are playing in stakes that are too high. Secondly, you need to focus on making the best decisions. If you suffer a bad beat, just ask yourself if you would have made the same decision again. If so, brush it off and focus on the next hand. If not, figure out how you could have played it better. Finally, if you find yourself getting frustrated and not able to focus, leave the game. Take some time to clear your mind. Take a walk. Do some things you enjoy. Come back when you are calm again.

If you feel tired or hungry, better solve these problems first, a little rest and a snack, before meeting with their opponents.Be calm and relaxed, this will allow you to make more correct decisions, so be sure to leave your baggage of emotions behind the door.

Number 1 is easy don't play when your tired. If your not physically or mentally prepared for a game don't play as your likely throwing your stack away. Make sure before starting that your comfy, not hungry, tired, pissed off etc. If you can fix these things before you start then you can be in the best place to concentrate and think clearly.

Number 2 is also easy if your still wound up by the suckout in your last game don't start a new one. Try reviewing hand history from the last game and decide if you made correct decisions and were unlucky or whether improvement was needed in your game. If you were unlucky that's part of the game shake it off and move on. If you discover some errors in your play congratulations you now know how to play better. Now go get em!
