Tilt

The question is simple. Do you identify it immediately? ... What do you do about it?

I know the signs of tilt and when I see it happening I take a break.. some times for a few days

90% of the time i do recognise it. Best thing to do is to take a break, however i dont always follow that advice, i try to play through it sometimes. Sometimes i might start a session and have a couple bad runs early and then i become tilted. Considering i just started i dont wanna break so.... i multitask, might play some music or watch some videos, do some reading online or summin to help ease my frustration.

Smoke a cigarette or have a snack! Comfort foooddd!!! LOL

if you are not calm - it's tilt.
If you think - wow, he is buffing, i'll punish him with even top pair - it's tilt.
Make a break in cash, push (AA,KK) - fold (any other) in tours.

I can so relate to these, except I punish him even with air oh or call him down with medium strength hand.

Earlier I wasn't able to recognize tilt even during a whole session, luckily now I see big one just after one hand, and maybe medium one in 3 hands. Small ones not yet without break to think about it. When I notice big one I push sit out next bb and hope I don't get playable hand before break (cash), if I do I so hope nobody calls (this even with AA) if they do I curse loudly in my mind and try to 120% concentrate, failing of course. But I try to keep folding mentality on by repeating it in my mind.

I do think that probably there are different kind of tilts for different personalities.

One my tilts is only seen by red line going down, not sure why, but at that time I don't win much, I can't pinpoint any obvious reason, and so it takes time to notice. Not sure you can call it pure tilt though.

I feel when I in tilt, but unfortunately I can't avoid it and I loss more money in that situation

This is being my daily problem, dealing with it.

Intelipoker's open league for example is burning me frequently.

I only hit her with A / A or Q / Q in moves that the villain forces me all in preflop and I lose to 10/6 or 4/2, the famous imaginary hands

Best way to deal with tilt is throw the monitor over the balcony ... could be cheaper depending on the limits.

I'm agree. As for me, i'm in tilt when i start play without any mathematics, hope for draws, etc.

I’m still tilting after 1 hour :O I paid 2 times on the river for fish and now I have to drop down again, grrrr. Then I go beaten in play money games, the small roll gone, luls, hard to get play money free, I never realized before.

The tilt can be easily seen and felt. In my case I become a bit angry and do decisions which really suck.
So after I just try to keep calm, reading a book or just having a dialogue with my nearest and dearest))

tilt sign of a bad game (not the right decisions). Set as a break

I agree with you.... Sometimes it is just enought to understand the situation and level our strategy again.

I go tilt on the dang video poker machines at the casino !

Signs of tilt - the emotions, bad beat, the game with weak cards, etc. First need to determine its causes, only then to struggle with tilt.
Tips on dealing with tilt:
1. Positive emotions;
2. To think logically;
3. The most important advice is to take a break, relax and have fun.

On tilt I may call and overrate my my hand on following hands. However, I'm becoming more calm and getting to know when I'm on tilt and just talk myself out of it.

Tilt has causes right? therefore you know what it is and its alot easier to avoid it or manage

if you dont know what causes it and what it is then you never gonna learn

On twithc EvanerTV nl500+ player today answered to lots of tilt questions. He said: I'm still consumed some days by it.

Well it called tilt precisely because you can not control yourself fully. True you get much better on it, but it's still somewhere there.

Well , I identify it immediately ,but I usually can't stop it at once , right here right now as we say . Post session I apply some rules I have said and wrote in another post , I don't play cash games for some days only freerolls , I see again the hands I played and check my mistakes , try to do this after the session has ended not during , thing like these . I try to comply to decipline , tilt makes me playing idiot hands .

As antonis said above, it is not that hard to identify it, but it is a little bit hard to stop it, usually I have anger when I tilt and I kind of do some risky plays that I would not normally do

Whenever I get frustrated from a beat I stand up and stretch, maybe grab a drink while I fold hands to try and overcome the frustration.
I also think of the different decisions I could have made to loose less or avoid the situation completely.

Patient...if it does not 'recover' after of a enough number of hands I think there are many days to play!!
