At 30 BBs, I am typically playing LAG small ball style. If you open shoved 30 BBS, that is too deep to ever shove any hand.

Too many blinds to open shove, but you may have ended up raise calling it off anyway, so seems fine IMO. Unlucky to lose against KJ but remember you are still only 55/45 to win, so basically a flip.

Agree with jipregler. At 30 BB the LAG style seems to be a good play. Just read some advice from Negreanu how to play the small ball style. Search it at intellipoker , it's very interesting :)

Guys,i am interested,is the tight playing correct when u have 30BB in tournament

Well, as it is presumptuous to shove 30bb with AJ,there could be a monster hand,I'd be thrown off in such distribution,30bb, you can sit to wait for the card position.

30bb is enough to be patient. Be aggressive in late position, look for steal and resteal opportunities to maintain your stack. Be aware of upcoming blind increases. Stuff that applies all the time.

I would not open shove anything with 30bb. Calling a shove is usually close depending on action and remaining stacks, but folding is hard too.

At 30bb you still have plenty of time to play small ball. When you get under 10bb then you can start shoving that. Heck this morning i limped with aa to set a trap. It worked but i lost the pot on the good ole river. lol

Not sure what the rush was. That was way too early. I don't mind the shove as much as the hand. AQ is a really weak hand to push 30 BB. Most if not all of the hands that will call, will have you crushed.

I would say wrong, but it depends on the possition + where you at in the tournament stage, if bubble - yes you can shove, but other times - no,unless you know your ops range and its very loose... like KJ+ =)
30bb is a good stack (althoug i dont know the M) and you have no need to shove and put your whole stack on the line... but thats me

I don't think shoving AQ with 30bb is ever a good play. No point shoving when you can 3bet and get most villains out of the pot pre flop then if you miss you can get out or try and fire a barrel and get whoever is left to fold. Going all in with 30bb to flip a coin and go out is a fish play in my opinion

You don't have to do this. With 30bb you have a healthy stack, you can play without despair. You can do that move with 10bb.

With 30BB try to steal blinds, play in position
