I play in pokerstars most of the time, and it never fails that I have the stronger hand preflop (which I've bet on), hit the nuts on the flop (where I raise and am often pushed all in to which I call) and theatre opponent go runner runner flush, or straight.

Does this just happen to me or do others have this trouble on this site?

These loose players always seem to win against me with the lowest possible odds of winning.

Selective memory bias.
You remember the suckouts (because they hurt) and forget the times you win (because it's natural). It only *seems* like they suck out on you so often.

Think about it this way: Why would PS want YOU to lose and everyone else to win? What benefit would they gain from that?

You are probably right. I just really hate seeing my bankroll go.

I usually play tight/aggressively at the start and loosen up later on in the game.

Yes, it might seem like you get sucked out on, but statistically, you will be ahead in the long run. This is what I keep having to tell myself when I get sucked out on, to prevent me from going on tilt.

Yeah this is hard man, but the times you win, is a lot better then the times you lose.

Just go on and let's play more for having less variance.

If I play tight on Pokerstars, this site always crushed me on runner runner or I am in tilt and I loose everything.. Nowdays I'm playing on ACR and I think it it better way. I won 660 dollars in my first tourney here...

I can relate. I see ridiculous play on pokerstars all the time. However, in the long run, I know that the fish that are sucking out on me will be my greatest source of prosperity. They won't change their play, and have no incentive to get better because they're being rewarded with bad play. Soon enough you'll be crushing them.

It does happen to everyone. I can't even count the number of times I run into those beats, and it is hugely frustrating. But I try to tell myself that in the long run, these chasers do go broke, and I come out ahead. For me, it is all based on bankroll management, so I can recover losses when they occur without breaking the bank. Hardest thing not to quit when you run into this, but it really is selective memory.
