heya all...
just wanted to ask for your opinion my friends...
i am playing micro and small tourneys and some freerolls for tickets or real money...
and i get beaten with hands i shouldn t lose(like pocket aces, pocket kings...)because i am pushed all in by other guys with much much "weaker" hand...
is there any difference(as i had not play any medium or high tourneys) in heads of players with calls and play?
i assume that i get called with for example A4 unsuited because i am playing for 20$(got pocket aces and raised 240(blinds 30/60) but guy on BB pushed all in with A4 unsuited and he get straight)...
and that is only one example...i had it hundreds...
i doubt that he would do that or something similar in game for few hundreds $ or more...
what do you think?

thanks all in advance!!!

There is nothing you can do in those situations, they are going to happen again, and again.
Just make sure you are raising PF and getting your money in when you are ahead. In the long run the Aces and Kings will hold up more often, we just tend to remember them losing more because it stings.

yes i understand...
but wanted to know do people more often play agressive in those situation in micro tourneys then in mid ones?
trying to build my bankroll slowly so not trying at more expensive ones...
and this is one thing that bother me most...
and it happened lot of times and i know i can t always win with strong hand...
but i somehow think that if you playingfor "nothing" people will call great amount of chips in preflop only with A or K with unsuited low kicker...

The micro/free tournies will attract looser play, yes. And you can read 'looser' as 'no friggin reason to be in a pot other then trying to be very aggressive and lucky'. But! these players exist at all levels of play, just not as frequent as in the micros. I've played against complete nutjobs in the $200+ entry tournies as well--they are everywhere.

It's like anything else in life; if you have a group, there will be a mix of people that all approach a situation differently. Plus, where $5 is a TON to your bankroll, $5000 means absolutely nothing to someone else.

Hang in there, keep learning, and manage your bankroll properly. The thought of, 'if I could just play at a higher level so people will play more normal' is one of the worst mistakes you can make.

as you move up in buyins i think players
tend to play tighter because they are better players
you will still get loose aggresive players but i think
not as many
i play from freerols up to $5 sng
i have deffo noticed the play is tighter in $5 sng than in a freeroll
however
a sng is comparable with late tourny play
eg 9 player sng = final table
by the time you get to a final table in a tourney
there are only decent players left (usually)
with early stages your hands need to hold up
you need a bit of good luck
i am doing the same as you
building br slowly but surely
keep getting chips in if you have good odds
concentrate
and the results will come (so everybody says lol)
good luck
