Hello everyone, i start read this book, and i need help understand something in the book. So i have many a question about the book, and i need you all to help me with understand this book.
In the book, David Sklansky talk alot about different form of poker and odds for winning in hand vs this hand.
I want understand why different version of poker?
I also no understand when he talk in the book about odds, and percentages..From what little i understand from this book.
If I play a 9 player table, and i have in my hand 9-10s and on flop come a/4/7 (2 hearts).
Than what to do to figure out if my call is correct or not correct to look for flush?
Do i also take other 9 players cards in hand or no? so the math would look like this or am i wrong?
9 (people get cards dealt) x2=18 cards already gone no?
Than add the 3 cards on the flop+burn card makes 4 cards out no? 18+4=22 cards out right?
22-52=30 cards left in deck no? so my cards would look like
9/30=33% to hit my flush no yes? on the turn only , and on the turn it go down to 16.2%
My question about this is in book he talk alot about flush draw hit 4:1, i no understand where 4:1 is coming from, i understand the rest of the pot odds problem where you need more than 4:1 to call and make the call a good call.So if you have 5:1 odds on a flush draw to make the call and it become a winning call in long run no? yet i know understand how he get the number 4:1 for flush draw or other numbers like 10:1 or w/e number it maybe so plz help me understand this part because i no understand it at all.
Also i ask abdi about it but he tell me and he make me more confuse than the book so plz help me understand in way is easy to understand
