It's called "Playing the board." The pot is divided by the players still in the hand -if . . . if really is the best hand. A famous instance was the 1998 WSOP
, where Scotty Nguyen told his heads-up opponent "If you call it's all over baby." His opponent, Kevin McBride, stated that he was going to play the board and called. It was, in fact, all over.
