"I opened the UTG with a pair of A, and I call the hijack, hence the cutoff decided to raise and the button came all in over everyone. I called and the other two folded, but the guy broke the pair of Q and I fell out of the tournament. ":stoned:

Obviously fold preflop when you know AA is going to lose.

...Wait, that's impossible.

That's just variance mate, because 1 out of 5 times you will lose a hand like this. Just let it go and remember that it works the other way around as well, sometimes you're on the good side of a hand like that.

Playing in a tournament few night ago I saw AA loss three times in about 10 minutes. Players will go in with any 2 cards and there is no guarantee AA will never loss so you will get this result sometimes

The right move is to play the AA but the unfortunate reality is that it will occasionally be cracked - in the long run, it is always profitable to play it. Maybe right on the bubble you might have more of a decision to make but here it would be a snap call to make.

Happens to everybody. You have to look at this long term rather than grumbling about your AA getting cracked once, every poker pro in the world salivates over putting all their chips in the middle when they're an 81% favorite to win.
