lets talk about note taking for the beginner who uses no hud-after years of playing online poker without using any type of hud i have note taking down to abbreviations for quick access and writing notes-il give out a few of my go to notes
orre-opening raise range early u just insert hands you seen them play
orrm-opening raise range middle
orrl -opening raise range late
orrutg-opening raise range under the gun
those are notes that i can update on the fly-or when im not in a hand-i also note some other things about each player
pa-positionaly aware-meaning they know how to play position
nit-tag-lag-and of course dag donkey and agrro
wftcb-will fold to c-bet
3bb-3 bet bluffs
those are just a few abreviations of my note taking-i realize everyone has there own method ive just found this way of taking notes easier for me when im playing

Very interesting for me because I do not use HUD.
- How many hands it takes to go through that you have recorded so you could say that you have a solid information about a particular player.
- How are you taking notes for the hand that did not show at the end because is not paid by the opponent. Did you making notes on this kind of game, too.
- If you do, you make notes for both player right? Something like this guy is known for 3 bet bluffs and this guy is easy for 3 bet bluffs and so.
- Can you give us some more explanations about all that, I'm very interested to hear.

Thank you in advance for your time.

1.some ppl i have been playing against for several years-some i just started taking notes on-and anywhere inbetween-its more important that i note players tendicies as most humans are creatures of habit-i might have only been in a few hands with person,i start taking notes right away-i can add new notes or change them as a persons games evolves so does my notes
2.its impossible to take notes on non-showdown hands you have to see thier cards to note opening raise range-which is why i mentioned that i pay attention when im not in the hand-it also helps me keep my head in the game-my attention wonders at times
3.yes i note both players in hand even if im not in it-so to get some good notes on a person it may take awhile since you dont see every mucked hand -the key for me was limiting the amount of notes, knocking my notes down to bare bones minimum-abbreviating all my notes -and making them understandable for me to review while in a hand quickly-this way of taking notes is just how i do it -everyone has there own way of note taking

Wow man, you're making data base of players with whom you play and their way of games and their progress and all together is bigger deal than I thought. I agree that this is good for someone who plays a lot of tournaments but I am a beginner who thought that you're talking about a particular tournament and the players you'll encounter later in the tournament so you have information about them.
In any case, thank you for your advice and explanation but I got to that stage still a lot of cards to play until I achieve that level.
