hello ppl

i need help on this, till now i did not make notes, most of time i play zoom so i didnt have much time for that...
anyway till now i did just basic markings on players, such Reg,Donk,Lag,fish etc...

now i would like to start taking notes, nothing too fancy like i saw couple of times, but rather basic, simple, useful notes...

so i need some guide/tutorial or you can give me advices how to do it :)

Thanks in advance!

just note whatever you want, if he limps AJo UTG, just note 'open limped AJo UTG' not alot too it but note taking is definitely a leak in my game also.

Notes are very handy , it is best not to write a book but any habits as well as the players they may associate with.

Sometimes you notice either soft play or some type of relationship going on with players which is a handy bit of info.

I play ZOOM too , here are some examles of the notes im writing after someone does sumfin stupid.

Calls 3 streets with middle pair - normal kicker (In 3Bet pot).
Calls my open with Q 10s , floats 2 streets on totally missed board and bluffs the river when checked to.
Raises flop with middle pair.
5bets BVB ALL-IN 50bb with 10 5o.
Calls a checkraise on flop with A Ks on 9 5 3 drawy board , calls K turn and ALL-IN 100bb on J river on 9 5 3 K J board.

If you see something that you think needs to have a note on that just sit out on all tables , make a note and then sit in again. Believe me notes are very useful.

Also there are some situations where you can make notes like

SM (scared money)
Passive (when the player had A Q on A high board and just checked it down to the river.)
TP=NUTS (when he raised the K high rainbow board with K5s and bet full pot on turn and river when you had AK.)
Hope this will help you and good luck :)

i make sort notes like, like if they are loose i put a green lable on them, if i think they are a good player a red lable for danger, how much they bet or raise with on a certain hand, you can usally work out there range with this compering it to your own [not an exact science].if they are bluffable if not, if they pay off if you donk shove, what you think they think of you, stuff like that just in there notes,i dont use pen and paper, G,L..

semi-bluff

notes can be real handy more so in zoom poker for obviously the number of players. I guess by now you know what sort of notes you need to. I would like to add just one more thing that might be worth noting. That is "Runs it twice" !!
Some players enable this option in the lobby and play accordingly in in cash tables. Here when two players who have both enabled this option then whenever they are all in the rest of the community cards run twice. This info can be useful sometimes knowing which players have this option enabled.
If you are running it twice and if you know if there are other players who have this option enabled then you can have a slight advantage by semi - bluffing ( or playing draws aggressively intended to make them fold) against such players. :stupido2:

If you play zoom, then you shouldn't write notes... Well you could, but there's no sense (in my opinion).

If you are using HM2(not a pitch!!) notes caddy does a good job. I still will type in notes for a player on my hud. NC does not always catch those edge cases of when someone open limps then flats UTG with K5o, then reraises the flop of K5xr and I think my AK is good. And it's not lol

My shorthand would be
ol/calls my SB RPF then rr on K5x flop vs my AKs and stacks me.

This was from a freeroll so that kind of hand is to be expected.

Good luck!
